India’s Biggest Women Safety Mission – Mission Shakti Explained
Mission Shakti Campaign is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at ensuring the safety, security, and empowerment of women across the country. It brings together multiple women-focused programs under one unified framework to provide better support and services.
The scheme works through two main components. The first is Sambal, which focuses on protection and safety by offering services like women helplines, one-stop crisis centres, and awareness about rights. The second is Samarthya, which promotes empowerment through skill development, employment opportunities, childcare support, and financial assistance.
Overall, Mission Shakti aims to create an environment where women can live with dignity, access opportunities, and become self-reliant members of society.
