CM KISAN Yojana Odisha 2026: What is CM-KISAN Scheme? Benefits, Eligibility & Apply Online
What is CM-KISAN Yojana?
CM-KISAN Yojana is a farmer support scheme launched by the Government of Odisha to provide financial assistance to small, marginal, and landless farmers.
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to support farmers and landless agricultural families in managing their livelihood and farming expenses. Small and marginal farmers receive ₹4,000 per year in two equal installments to help with costs like seeds, fertilizers, and other agricultural needs. Landless agricultural households are given ₹12,500 annually in multiple installments to support their income. The amount is directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring transparency and timely payment. The scheme also works alongside PM-KISAN, allowing eligible farmers to receive additional financial support for better income stability and rural development.
Eligibility
To avail benefits under this scheme, applicants must fulfill certain eligibility conditions set by the Government of Odisha. The scheme mainly targets small, marginal, and landless agricultural families to ensure financial support reaches the needy.First, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha. Only those living and farming within the state are eligible. Small and marginal farmers who own up to 2 hectares of agricultural land can apply under this scheme. In addition, landless agricultural households—such as sharecroppers, farm labourers, and allied workers like fishermen or livestock farmers—are also eligible for financial assistance. The applicant must have a valid Aadhaar card linked with an active bank account, as the benefits are transferred directly through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. It is also necessary to complete e-KYC verification to receive payments without interruption. However, certain categories are excluded from the scheme. Government employees, income taxpayers, and large farmers are not eligible to apply. This ensures that the scheme benefits only economically weaker farming families.
