Under this scheme, farmer groups consisting of at least 7 members with a combined cultivable land area of 12 hectares or more are eligible to apply. The government offers an 80% subsidy in general regions and up to 90% in tribal and KBK (Koraput, Bolangir, Kalahandi) districts. The scheme covers the full cost of installation and setup of lift irrigation points or deep borewell systems. Individual applications are not accepted, as the scheme is intended for collective irrigation benefit. Applications can be submitted online through the Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation (OLIC) portal or at the local Block Agriculture Office. Required documents include land records, Aadhaar cards, bank passbooks, and a group undertaking. Once approved, the installation is handled by the government, while maintenance becomes the responsibility of the farmer group.
